Personnal history  After study at at Tokai University, he started to study music at Shobi Music Academy, but he quitted the study after only half a year.  At that time, Kawai and some friends founded Muse, a band that was dedicated to fusion rock, in order to enter a contest.  The band got the grand prix and was ready to enter in the music industry.  But the members of the band started to play in their own way. So they decided to separate after all.  So with this kind of confidence, Mr Kawai started to compose music for video and TV commercial at his home studio.  When he composed the music for the radio actor Yuji Mitsuya 's play, he met the musical director Naoko Asari.  After this collaboration, she recommended him to compose soundtrack for animations.  Things that he composed at this time...
