Began watching The Fire Hunter and was struck by the music, enough to look for the composer so was happy and amused to see your name as I love your work on GitS. I'd be very grateful if you could tell me what instruments are used in the song that plays as the truck arrives in 'departure' I've heard them in other anime soundtracks and notably in the GitS soundtrack and love the sound, I don't know how to describe it, sorry I can't be more specific and have to ask for a list, I'm curious about them all though, it's a beautiful soundscape. 僕が使っている音源に関するご質問ですが、これはソフトシンセのプリセットではありません。
実はガンダム以前から使っている音源で、僕が作ってE-muにサンプリングされています。
もともとは事務所の階段で録音した色々な打楽器を組み合わせたモノですが、
もはや何をやったのか、忘れてしまいました・・・w
そういう音源って、けっこうあるんですよ・・・(^^)

今年の品川神社の例大祭で中神輿の前でお写真を撮って頂いた者です。その節はありがとうございました。例大祭を始め、下町感が溢れる北品川の商店街や居酒屋を堪能できました。

話は変わって質問なのですが、川井さんの曲で一つ気になっている音があります。ティンパニ？のような重厚でずっしりとしたパーカッションの音です。よくガンダム00のサントラを聴くのですが、結構な頻度で使われてます。(わかりやすいのはサウンドトラック01のNo.14「BEATING」のイントロ部分)
他作品でも戦闘BGMでよく聴きます。

あの音は何かのソフト音源にプリセットされてるものなのでしょうか。それとも川井さんご自身がサンプリングされたものなのでしょうか。トップシークレットとかでなければ教えていただきたいです。
